Meet the new E-N editor and open those records

Interested in how you can better utilize public records?

Bring your notepads and questions to Access Across America II, a national SPJ program hosted by the San Antonio Express-News and featuring OSU School of Media and Strategic Communications professor Joey Senat. The FREE program, which lasts two hours, focuses on how to access public records and will include ideas for record-based stories, how to make requests more efficient and how to avoid denials and steep fees.

Introducing Professor Senat will be Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Mike Leary, the new executive editor for the SAE-N, who takes the newsroom's helm Aug. 6. Leary comes from the Philadelphia Inquirer, where he most recently was the deputy managing editor of news and investigations.
